Housed in the Armani Hotel, it's all minimalistic chic, lounge music and beautiful people. Tripadvisor ranks it at around 300 out of 2300 restaurants reviewed in Milan. So went with relatively-managed expectations. It is
Nobu though, so that raises expectations somewhat. It was our night out without the kids, and we wanted to try something other than Italian cuisine. Started our evening with drinks in their lounge bar then moved upstairs to the restaurant.
OMG! Borrowed from my 12 -year- old daughter's vocabulary, but no other response suffices.
We ordered from the tasting menu, sampling their new-style sashimi; spicy creamy prawn tempura, black cod - which melted like butter in the mouth- kobe beef with jalapeno sauce.

It was a night of protein and nothing but protein. After three days of my carbo-loading marathon it was a welcome change. Impeccable service, ambiance that was a bit too minimalistic for my liking, but fantastic food. Nobu's Peruvian-influenced Japanese cuisine was a wonderful change from Italy's fare. It's pricey, but well worth it.
It being a night on the town - I was without my usual bulky camera - even my iPhone was tucked away in my clutch, so I have 'borrowed' from various sources, images of just some of the offerings at Armani/Nobu.
