Golf and Lobster

This post was not meant to be about food...I have been meaning to post more about my other passion; golf and the places where I indulge it, but, somehow it turned into a post about some of the best food in the most unlikely place.

Golf Clubs are not exactly culinary havens, but more places for a great breakfast after the first nine,  and maybe, a decent lunch depending on the golf club after - far be it for golf and great food to be mentioned in the same sentence. Celebrity Golf Club surprises. I have written about golfing in Ghana here and there, but nothing in great detail, so I thought - we're out with the kids every Sunday morning for a game of nine holes and lessons respectively - some exercise, views of the Sakumono Lagoon, it may make for a nice post about golf.
My kids cannot get out of the house fast enough when we get ready for our weekly "golf and lobster!" as my son puts it.
One and a half hours of mid-morning exercise later and you've earned yourself the right to  indulge a bit...and the kitchen at Celebrity GC allows you to do just that, from omelets for breakfast to lobster for lunch.

Only in Ghana can you have lobster every week for a fraction of what it would cost in a fine restaurant anywhere else.
Oh! and the golf is fairly decent - although Tema GC and Achimota GC have better greens. There is a concerted effort however to improve this  - numerous temporary greens around the course, which should make for an even better golfing experience in the coming months.
